Description

The system allows to check INR values of patients through internet automatically. The patient receives the dose weekly, biweekly or monthly medication to take. This implies the public health saving of thousands of dollars in transfer of patients to medical centers or colleges to remote rural centers.

Innovative aspects

It is a project with a clear business focus, as it incorporates the use of smartphones to healthcare as technology helps a lot of patients. The application flexibility means it can be used with different types of routine medical checks.

INR Remote checking of patients. Every day is advancing in the field of telemedicine and telecare, healthcare professionals are demanding more media and systems that enhance these methods.

Keep in mind that the mobile phone is a device widely used and often "be on hand" for any user. Android is used by mobile cell bodies at this time.

Likewise, the health savings (public and private) specialists, shifts, working hours, etc.. would be very large, so it's safe interest in this type of solution by all health systems both in our country and even abroad.

Specifications

The International Normalized Ratio (INR) is a way to standardize the values obtained through the prothrombin time. It is mainly used to monitor patients with oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT).

The Android app from the mobile phone will ask the user their current INR value (after being measured with a measuring clotting). This value will be sent via Internet or via SMS to a server, where the user's phone number must be pre-registered.

The server side is responsible for looking at the history of previous patient data. Through these data, the INR value received and medical algorithms will give a guideline in making the drug over a period for a patient.

The server will send the results online or by SMS (depending on the data received) to the patient's mobile phone.

If the result is outside the limits established physicians in the database, the mobile phone or tablet could make a call to your aid set (112, health center, family, etc. . ) .

In addition there will be access via web page from where users can perform the same services, in turn , practitioners can perform control and monitoring of all values,  standards , manage high, low , etc

Advantages

As a service accessible via the Internet either via mobile or web application allows physician communication - avoiding direct patient thousand journeys to health care in the patient's greeting centers or physicians to rural centers difficult access, also improving the quality of life of patients and do not have to continually go to the health center.
