Fort Lewis College invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Political Science specializing in public law, judicial politics, and U.S. political institutions to start in August 2020.
They are particularly interested in candidates with knowledge, experience, and interest in tribal law or federal Indian policy. The successful candidate would teach courses in areas such as U.S. National Government, Tribal Governance, Constitutional Law, Federal Indian Policy, Civil Rights and Liberties, Criminal Justice, and other areas of interest.
Fort Lewis College prides itself on providing a high-quality, hands-on education to a diverse group of students, and over one third of our student body identifies as Indigenous or Native American. The primary responsibility of this position is teaching, but developing a research agenda is expected and supported by the department and College.
