The Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University invites applications for a tenured, senior position (associate or full professor) in the field of Human Rights. They are seeking a scholar of human rights whose work may include topics such as indigenous rights, civil rights for marginalized communities, gender rights and sexual violence, freedom of expression and assembly, rights to asylum from persecution and conflict, rights to due process, labor rights, environmental rights, rights to basic standards of living and healthcare, domestic and international human rights instruments and institutions, peacebuilding, and transitional justice. We are open to scholars working on domestic or international settings.
A successful candidate must have an outstanding record of scholarly achievement, a proven record of successful research funding, and a demonstrated commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising.
