The conference, which was held in the Salón de Grados of the Faculty of Health Sciences, was aimed at the teaching staff and students of the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Polytechnic School, centres that offer degrees related to the project (Degree in Occupational Therapy, Degree in Health Engineering, Master's Degree in Health Sciences, and Master's Degree in Lifelong Learning in Early Childhood Assessment and Intervention through the Application of Intelligent Systems).
At the conference, the project coordinator, Dr. Sáiz Manzanares reported on the objectives: updating and training of early care professionals focused on the diagnosis and intervention with children with disorders or at risk of suffering them in ages 0-6 years and the contents: conceptual and practical updating in the fields of neurological development, the various pathologies and/or disorders at early ages (brain damage, epilepsy, maturational delay, prematurity, autism spectrum, sensory, spina bifida, cerebral palsy), cognitive, social and language development, psychomotor development, development of personal autonomy, diagnosis and intervention, observation and assessment techniques, use of intelligent resources (internet of things, intelligent personal assistants, eye tracking, and eEarlyCare web application).
The professor presented a prototype of the virtual learning platform (VLE) developed by the SME Gestionet, which includes the figure of avatars that self-regulate users' learning through interactive voice resources.

Currently, the University of Burgos, the University of Roma Tre and the Faculty of Medicine of Rijeka in Croatia are in the validation phase of the training modules. These modules will be evaluated by four practising early childhood professionals and three graduates from each of the members of the cooperation partnership. This phase will be completed in January. Subsequently, once the improvements in the training modules have been implemented, they will be included in the VLE of the project.
This phase will conclude in March next year and it is planned that on 3, 4 and 5 April 2023 the modules will be applied in a training phase to be held in Rijeka (Croatia). The researchers of this European project will also develop in Rome, in June, the first multiplier event in which the results of the project will be disseminated.
During the conference, Professor Rodriguez Arribas presented the lines of communication for the dissemination of the project and the website created by the UBU web team, which is already accessible in order to inform society in general about the events, results and news of the project.
The e-EarlyCare-T project is committed to early prevention and health promotion through the updating of early care professionals with a special focus on training in digital competences aimed at both assessment and intervention, enhancing diagnosis and precision intervention. All of this with the ultimate goal of achieving a more inclusive and supportive society in line with the objectives of the 2030 Agenda.
