For my project I designed a one-day tour around Burgos for Asian tourists. This visit is set up as a quest in which the tourists need to complete several tasks related to Burgos history and culture in their way to the Castle of Burgos final stage. This will help them to interact with the city and get a good memory of their visit.
Why a quest?
First, in Asian countries, touristic sites usually include photo points and traditions that everyone who go is supposed to follow. Is rare to go to the Namsan Tower in Seoul and not place a padlock in its railings, for example. Therefore, I thought it would be interesting to implement this style of tourism in my one-day guide, so they can feel more at home and get to know Spanish culture in a more friendly way.
Second, when I stringed together all these actions, a gymkhana like activity came out. Burgos, with its castle, was perfect for this type of adventure. A real-life quest can be very attractive for young people and, at the same time, it can be useful for not so young people in order to find their way through Burgos streets, and an excuse to create some good memories here.
The quest can be followed in the next link where it is also possible to download it for printing purposes.
