Description of the challenge you will be working with and its context.
The Project Sustainable Mobile Water Treatment Plant is intended for those countries or areas where resources and infrastructures are lack. The main objective consists in the development of those underdeveloped areas through the use of new methods to be able to improve the growth of their development and carry out the activities of daily life in a more comfortable and simple way.
The Project entitled SMWTP is mainly intended to cover objective number 6 (Clean water and sanitation) framed within the SDG Agenda 2030, by providing drinking water for all people with the aid of an instrument capable of being transported, but many other objectives are also covered with this Project.
Sustainable Mobile Water Treatment Plant consists of a treatment plant that works with renewable energies and that can be transported by a tractor, a truck, a van and even a car. Thus, it will only be necessary to collect the trailer for the transfer to those areas that do not have drinking water.
The water purification process is divided into the following steps:
It begins by the chargement of the inverters and the batteries using solar panels or solar cells located above the treatment plant. These plates are capable of charging the batteries and inverters that will drive the extraction motor, in order to collect water through a hose that is inserted into the polluted or dirty river. Once the water goes up the hose, the water is cleaned, purified and made drinkable; proceeding to be extracted by another of the hoses. When the water comes out, it comes out in optimal conditions for consumption. But the process does not end there, because we also take advantage of the outflow of water due to the natural fall of water that, with the help of a power generator, is capable of recharging the inverters and batteries again to start over with the process.
