2024 marks 30 years since Sweden and Finland voted to join Denmark as members of the European Union, and Norway voted not to. In the 30th year of Swedish EU membership, we invite you in particular to reflect upon the impact that EU law has had on the Swedish legal order and how Sweden and our Nordic neighbours have in turn contributed to the development of the Union. We are looking forward to welcoming professor Graham Butler (University of Southern Denmark) and professor Helle Krunke (University of Copenhagen) for a keynote address on The NordicEU Dynamic: Cooperation, Integration, and the Law.
CALL FOR PAPERS We welcome contributions on all topics related to European legal studies, including but not limited to EU internal market law, competition law, the impact of EU Law in the Member States, EU external relations, the EU judicial order, the EU Charter on Fundamental Rights and the ECHR. We particularly welcome contributions related to the Swedish or Nordic relationship to the EU and the position of the EU in the Swedish legal order. Finally, we also welcome papers regarding methodological issues of European law research and pedagogical issues related to teaching European law.
