Visit FAL C295 San Pablo AIRBUS (January 28th, 2025)
On 28th January 2025 the Degree in Commercial Pilot for the Transport of People and Goods (BOUBU Nº189) organised a guided visit to the Airbus San Pablo plant in Seville, with the aim of broadening the knowledge of the different subjects of our syllabus.
The group that participated in this outing were the students who are currently studying the second and third year of the Pilot Degree, and they were also accompanied by the director of the Degree, Dr. Ana María Lara Palma and Sonia Monsalve from the support team.
On behalf of Airbus, the hosts of the visit to the San Pablo plant were Enrique Montero and Manuel Maireles, C295 Industrial Managers, who guided the group through the different stations where the final assembly of the aircraft, the FAL of the C295 aircraft, is carried out.
Airbus is Europe's largest aeronautics and space company, offering products, services and solutions in its commercial aviation, helicopter, defence and space divisions. The implementation and development of new technologies is a constant in its future projects, as well as being Research and Development centres. In this line of innovation, we had the opportunity to experience the use of virtual reality in maintenance and assembly activities on the C295 aircraft and they also explained how the development of new technologies will lead to lighter, safer and more efficient aircraft in the future.
We are so grateful to the team for their commitment to university-business knowledge transfer.
