The International Research Recruitment Office (OCPI) was created with the aim of promoting, attracting, and welcoming international talent — both researchers and technical staff — to the University of Burgos, in alignment with the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) established by the European Commission.

This office supports and guides researchers in developing their research careers at our University by offering personalized and flexible assistance, as well as access to resources and services focused on R&D&I within a privileged environment in terms of quality of life, culture, and safety.

Support for integration and administrative procedures is essential to overcome difficulties and barriers, both before joining the University and during the first stages after arrival. Therefore, in order to prepare the stay of research staff, the OCPI provides guidance, information, and specific assistance on all non-academic matters that are important for their stay, including support throughout the relocation process, assistance with the procedures and requirements necessary for their incorporation, and help with their integration.

Services Offered by OCPI:

•    Information and advice on job opportunities, research grants, and funding schemes for hiring early-stage research staff at the University of Burgos.
•    Support with administrative procedures and non-academic matters.
•    Integration into the local culture and the University.
•    Evaluation and monitoring of researchers’ satisfaction at the University.
•    Identification of researchers’ needs, challenges, and difficulties.
