ADMISSION PROCEDURES:
1) Fill in the online application and upload the documents required:
- Transcript of records.
- Copy of your passport or identity card.
- A scanned photograph.
The Exchange Student Application Form is mandatory for all Erasmus students or students coming through official exchange programs with their home universities.
APPLICATION DEADLINES:
If you intend to start classes (or laboratory work) in September: 30th May.
If you intend to start classes (or laboratory work) in February: 30th October.
PREPARE YOUR STUDY PROGRAMME WITH YOUR LOCAL COORDINATOR:
Students will be registered before they arrive to the University of Burgos. Detailed information on the use of the virtual platform will be fully provided to international students during the mandatory orientation sessions. Erasmus and other international exchange students are allowed to follow courses from different degrees, year and Faculty/School, with a limit of 30 ECTS per semester and 60 ECTS per full year. Check the ECTS Course Catalogue of courses on offer at the University of Burgos . Please note that
- Fall semester-first semester students are only allowed to choose those subjects labelled as "Semester 1" of the study plan of their choice;
- Spring semester-second semester students are only allowed to choose those subjects labelled as "Semester 2" of the study plan of their choice;
- Full-year students can choose courses from both "Semester 1" and "Semester 2"

STUDENT VISA:
Students coming from non-EU or EEA countries must obtain a student visa in order to study in Spain. The International Office will send the student an official invitation letter necessary for the application for a student visa at the Spanish embassy or consulate.
It is the responsability of each student to comply with all the legal procedures related to immigration issues and legal stay in Spain.
MEDICAL INSURANCE:
- Nationals from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and EU:
Students coming from the countries mentioned are entitled to the same public healthcare services as the residents of the country they are visiting. They should apply for the European Health Insurance Card at the local social security or sickness insurance office in their home countries.
- Citizens from other countries must get private medical insurance covering medical assistance and hospitalisation, including repatriation cover, before coming to Spain that will cover expenses incurred abroad. It is the students' responsibility to ask their insurance company about the procedure to follow in Spain in case of needing medical assistance.
Third-part liability insurance is not necessary.
