Academic Calendar

The academic year at the University of Burgos is divided into two semesters. Courses and subjects are offered during each semester, but some  modules run for the full year. Examinations take place at the end of each semester, but, for those throughout-the-year courses, assesment is organised only at the end of the year. Students are expected to be available for each of every examination period. Note that failure to attend will result with a "NOT ATTENDED" mark and no-credit award on the Transcript of Record that will be issued at the end of the year. Only under very exceptional circumstances would international students be allowed to undertake alternative examination dates if unable to sit for an exam. Students must inform of those circumtances to the lecturer in charge of the subject as soon as possible.
