CIDER (by its acronym in Spanish - International Research Center in Rural Development) has as its mission the research activities aimed at the improvement of the quality of life of rural areas through a sustainable, cohesive and integrated rural development. This mission aims to respond to the objective set by the EU (2040), of a stable, rejuvenated rural environment, with adequate services and a thriving and sustainable economy. In short, a rural environment with a high quality of life, attractive to the population and with a decisive contribution to the rational structuring of the territory.
Becoming a European reference centre in rural development investigation is the Centre's vision.
