Description

BIOSYSMO will develop a computer-assisted framework to design and optimize synergistic biosystems that combine the necessary pathways and features to achieve the most efficient degradation and storage of contaminant mixtures. BIOSYSMO will leverage the high natural microbial diversity by analyzing samples from contaminated sites and areas affected by diffuse pollution to identify naturally occurring microorganisms that are already capable of metabolizing the target contaminants.
