Description
The overall goal of the MeBattery project is to lay the groundwork for a next-generation battery technology, which will overcome critical limitations of leading-edge battery technologies by displaying an excellent balance between these KPIs.
The radically new vision of this novel battery technology is based on a combination of unconventional thermodynamically driven concepts that will lead to a paradigm shift in energy storage. The proposed new battery technology is based on a fluid configuration system that i) has the intrinsic benefits of flow systems (energy conversion reactor separate from the energy storage reservoir), ii) increases energy density by storing energy in solid materials confined in external reservoirs, and iii) guarantees the stability of the systems for long periods of time using immiscible liquids.
This Project has received funding from the research and innovation program of the European Union Horizon Europe within the framework of the grant agreement No.101046742
