COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Get the student familiar with concepts related to photogrammetry.
- Introduce the student in planning techniques and obtaining photos to achieve a correct photogrammetric survey.
- Know the use of the software 3D Zephyr Free and Photoscan to produce accurate 3D models.
- Generate orthophotos and archaeological drawings, take measures and georeference our 3D models using Blender, CAD and Adobe Acrobat.
- Graphically rebuild lost parts of our 3D model and its historical context.
- Use web platforms -such as p3d.in or Sketchfab- to embed our 3D models into our blog, web pages or Social Network.

BRIEF EXPLANATION
This course "Introduction to digital photogrammetry applied to Heritage" will initiate students to the knowledge of photogrammetry. This includes the techniques to obtain 3D models dedicated to documentation, analysis and reconstruction of Heritage elements, both Archaeological and Historical-Artistic. We start approaching a brief review of the history and objectives of this technique, as well as the comparison of its advantages and disadvantages with other techniques. The course is designed to provide students a practical learning, mainly focusing on free software -but also other commercial tools- to carry out their projects. In this way, basic knowledge will be provided so that students will be able to explore the use of this technique in a scientific way. This means opening a world of professional opportunities by achieving capabilities highly appreciated nowadays.
