The University of Maryland are interested in candidates who apply these topics in the context of criminology, justice, and criminal law (e.g., predictive policing, pretrial risk assessment, database building through open sources, linking criminal records, recidivism prediction, management of bodycam video, face recognition in surveillance images, management of DNA evidence).
Candidates with data-driven approaches to related social science topics are encouraged to apply.
