eEarlyCare-T project held its last transnational meeting

The eEarlyCare-T Project, co-financed by the European Union, whose objective is the development of materials, virtual learning environments and practical virtual laboratories in the field of early care, has held its final meeting. The project involves the University of Burgos, which is leading the project, the University of Roma Tre (Italy) and the University of Sveuciliste u Rijeci (Croatia), as well as the Spanish companies Gestionet Multimedia S.L. and Kveloce I+D+i.

During this meeting, an overview of the project, its achievements and results were presented. The first result consists of 8 virtual modules that address the following contents:

  • Module I - Introduction to the Concept of Early Childhood Care and Intervention in Different Contexts.
  • Module II - Early Neurodevelopment.
  • Module III - Pathologies in early ages.
  • Module IV - Observation and Assessment Techniques using intelligent resources.
  • Module V - Cognitive, social, communication and language development.
  • Module VI - Psychomotor Development and Development of Personal Autonomy.
  • Module VII - Early intervention and application of intelligent resources.
  • Module VIII - Early Intervention Programmes (0-6 years).

The second outcome includes 12 virtual laboratories that refer to:

  • Virtual laboratory 1 - Prematurity.
  • Virtual laboratory 2 - Maturational delay.
  • Virtual l laboratory 3 - Communication and language delay.
  • Virtual laboratory 4 - Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
  • Virtual laboratory 5 - Cerebral palsy.
  • Virtual laboratory 6 - Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
  • Virtual laboratory 7 - Eye tracking technology applied to Early Intervention.
  • Virtual laboratory 8 - Eye tracking technology applied to Early Intervention II.
  • Virtual laboratory 9 - Systematic observation techniques in Early Intervention.
  • Virtual laboratory 10 - Data mining applied to Early Intervention.
  • Virtual laboratory 11 - Design of Intelligent Assistants applied to therapy in Early Intervention.
  • Virtual laboratory 12 - Brain damage due to herpes encephalitis.

All this documentation can be consulted in open access in the Virtual Learning Classroom of the previous project login in Spanish, Croatian English and Italian and two e-books related to the contents of the training modules and two e-books related to the elaboration of self-regulated virtual laboratories , both in Spanish and English. The development of this last multiplying event took the form of the 1st International Conference on Early Intervention and Technology in the 21st Century, which was broadcast in streaming by the University of Burgos Television.
