The International Spanish Center, part of the Vice-Rectorate for Internationalization and Cooperation, is the key reference point for organizing internationally-oriented courses at the University of Burgos. With many years of experience in training students and professionals, the Center regularly welcomes learners from universities across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

It coordinates and organizes courses on a wide variety of topics, delivered by top university specialists in cultural, historical, educational, and scientific fields. While it offers a broad selection of pre-established courses, it also designs tailor-made programs adapted to the specific needs of requesting institutions.

In the area of Spanish language instruction, the Center boasts a team of nearly twenty professionals specialized in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. It offers intensive courses, semester-long programs, specialized courses, and Spanish for specific purposes. In addition, it provides teacher training courses for Spanish instructors.

Burgos, the birthplace of the Spanish language, is an ideal city for learning Spanish. Well connected, calm, and safe, it offers rich cultural heritage and a privileged natural environment. The city is home to three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Gothic cathedral, which recently celebrated its 800th anniversary; the archaeological sites of Atapuerca and the Museum of Human Evolution, essential for understanding human origins; and the Camino de Santiago, which runs through both the city and province of Burgos.
